The biggest issue with showers and shower rooms is the choice - and the significant difference in cost depending on what you choose. Be prepared for some long lead times from European shower enclosure manufacturers.

A word of advice - if you can, don't skimp on separate shower bases, shower units, taps, enclosures or pumps. By and large, you really do get what you pay for. There is nothing worse than the shower base squeaking and creaking every time you step on it or the taps/shower heads dripping after 6 months, or the shower enclosure looking as though it will break if you breathe on it.

Let's have a look at the basic choices to start you off.

      • Shower attachment on bath
      • Separate shower unit, taking hot and cold water from bath
      • Electrically pumped shower using hot and cold water
      • Electric shower using mains cold water
      • Purpose-designed shower cabinet
      • Wet room
Each of the above suits different environments and provides a very different shower experience. Take some time to understand and explore which option will best suit your needs. Have a look at Showers on the Gallery page to see some of our shower projects.
